For more than 14 years, Camera Revolution has worked closely with Hornets Tech Director, Alistair Horne, on a wide range of feature film projects. Their first collaboration began during the filming of the Harry Potter series, where the challenge of delivering long-range video transmission sparked the start of a partnership that has since extended across other major productions, including Marvel films.
As the film industry continues to demand greater flexibility and further transmission distances, Camera Revolution turned to the Domo Broadcast Systems MESH platform. The system stood out for its ability to support not only high-quality video transmission but also camera head control across challenging environments. Recent projects have included remote control in tunnels through the centre of London – achieved with equipment and training supplied through Hornets Tech.
Today, Camera Revolution continues to deploy the MESH system on projects where long-distance remote camera operation is critical. This capability has given it a distinct advantage in the market, offering solutions their competitors cannot currently match.
The system is now also available for hire as part of Camera Revolution’s wider service offering. While often paired with its range of stabilised remote head systems, MESH is increasingly being used for camera and lens control on shoots where full remote heads are not required.
