SDIIP
SDI Encoder
- Up to 16 SDI in
- SD / HD / 3G-SDI
- H.264 / HEVC
High-density ingest: up to 16 SDI inputs encoded in real time to H.264 or H.265 MPEG-TS for IP distribution, with 16-channel embedded audio and per-channel thumbnails.
Data SheetEncoders / Decoders / Codecs / IPTV
Broadcast-grade encoding, decoding & IPTV platforms, available as hardware, software and under your own brand.
From SDI, HDMI and ST 2110 ingest, through portable and compact codecs and adaptive-bitrate transcoding, to multi-viewer playout. Every box is a transform: the pair beside each product tells you what goes in and what comes out.

Data Sheet
ST 2110IP
Receives uncompressed video and audio over SMPTE ST 2110-20/30 across 4×25 GbE with seamless ST 2022-7 hitless redundancy, and encodes to H.264 or H.265 MPEG-TS.
Data Sheet
HDMIIP
Captures up to 8 HDMI inputs at up to 4K60 and encodes them to H.264 or H.265 MPEG-TS, with per-input EDID selection for stubborn sources.
Data Sheet
IPSDI
Receives H.264 or H.265 MPEG-TS over UDP, RTP, SRT or RIST and plays it out as SD/HD/3G-SDI, the bridge from IP-distributed content back to legacy SDI infrastructure.
Data Sheet
IPST 2110
Receives H.264 or H.265 MPEG-TS and outputs uncompressed SMPTE ST 2110-20 video plus ST 2110-30 audio over 4×25 GbE, with seamless ST 2022-7 hitless redundancy.
Data Sheet
SDIIP
A single portable box that encodes one 3G-SDI feed to IP and decodes an incoming IP stream back to 3G-SDI at the same time. Dials home over WireGuard, so a unit behind NAT on a cellular link stays fully configurable from the central dashboard.
Data Sheet
SDIIP
Four or eight SDI channels in a desktop chassis, each channel independently an encoder or a decoder. For sites where six or eight channels do not justify a full 1U rack server.
Data Sheet
MPEG-TSHLS
Ingests live MPEG-TS and produces adaptive-bitrate HLS ladders entirely in hardware. Decode, scaling and multi-rendition encode all run on dedicated accelerator cards, leaving the host CPU free.
Data Sheet
MPEG-TSUDP · HLS
The control plane of the IPTV stack: it receives MPEG-TS feeds from the encoders, manages the channel line-up and distributes streams to set-top boxes and clients across the facility.
Data Sheet
IPHDMI
Renders IPTV streams across two independent HDMI outputs at up to 4K, full-screen or in 2×2 quad-split for eight streams on two screens.
Data SheetTurn-key 1U / 2U appliances, factory-tuned for broadcast SLAs.
Run the same stack on your own servers, bare-metal or virtualised.
Ship the platform under your own brand with custom UI and badging.
Support & Service
Buying a Hornets-Tech platform isn’t a transaction. It’s access to a broadcast engineering team that stays on the line long after the truck rolls out.
Round-the-clock telephone access to a real engineer, every day of the year, including holidays and the night of the big match.
Skip the call-centre script. Tickets are handled by the people who designed and built the platform. The same names on the commit log and the support call.
When a deployment, complex integration, or major live production calls for hands-on presence, our engineering team can come to your facility, scoped together to fit the project.
New codecs, new formats, security patches: every active customer receives every release, whether on a perpetual licence or annual subscription. The platform keeps pace with broadcast standards as they evolve.
The same engineers who answer your support calls also write the firmware. UI tailoring, REST API extensions, integrations with your NOC or scheduling systems, deep low-level features. The platform adapts to your operation, not the other way around.
From SDI and HDMI ingest, through IP distribution, to set-top box rendering, every link in the chain is built and supported by the same engineering team. No vendor finger-pointing when something breaks, and no integration tax between mismatched products.
Deployment Example
A typical multi-site deployment: live SDI and ST 2110 sources at the primary facility, encoded into IP, distributed locally to set-top boxes, and shipped over the public internet via SRT to a remote facility, where the signal is decoded back to SDI or ST 2110 baseband.
Tell us about your channel count, formats and deployment target, and we will spec a system around it.
