Interoperability

Built on open standards.

Our devices speak the formats your facility already runs, and sit on standard, qualified hardware. No proprietary transport, no lock-in.

Broadcast standards

Uncompressed IP video and audio, hitless redundancy and hardware timing.

SMPTE ST 2110-20Uncompressed video over IP, on the ST 2110 encoder ingest and the ST 2110 decoder output.
SMPTE ST 2110-30Uncompressed PCM audio over IP, alongside the video essence.
SMPTE ST 2022-7Hitless protection switching on dual-path ST 2110, separate primary and backup multicast groups.
PTP / IEEE 1588Hardware timestamping on the 25GbE network card for frame-accurate timing.

Transport and delivery

Contribution over the public internet, and distribution to players and set-top boxes.

MPEG-TS / UDP, RTPMulticast and unicast, the default across the encoder and decoder line.
SRTCaller, listener and rendezvous with AES encryption, on the compact SDI codec and the SDI decoder.
RISTReliable contribution over lossy links, on the compact SDI codec and the SDI decoder.
HLSAdaptive-bitrate delivery for mobile and web, from the IPTV server.
WebRTCUltra-low-latency browser playback, from the IPTV server.

Hardware platform

Enterprise-grade components from tier-one suppliers, assembled and tested in-house.

Intel GPUs

Hardware H.264 and H.265 encode and decode via VA-API, the workhorse of the encoding and decoding line.

25GbE network cards

4 × 25GbE SFP28 for ST 2110, with hardware PTP for timing.

SDI capture card

Professional SDI capture and playout, SD-SDI through 3G-SDI, on the SDI encoder and decoder.

SuperMicro servers

1U half-depth chassis with redundant power, the platform under the rack-mount products.

Codecs and control

Video codecs

H.264 (AVC) and H.265 (HEVC), hardware-accelerated end to end.

Audio codecs

AAC-LC, Opus and MP2, plus uncompressed PCM for ST 2110 and SDI.

Control

A REST API on every product, an OpenAPI (Swagger) spec on each device, and SSH for the operator.

We state what we have built and measured. Where a third-party interoperability test has not been run, we do not claim it. Tell us the vendor and box you need to work against, and we will test it with you.
